Hi all! Back to highlight another Creative Team member, Melinda Ver Meer. As a professional photographer she skillfully draws the eye to her stunning portraits, using our products as icing on the cake (we won’t discuss the fact that she’s a Nikon gal!). Since we only live about four hours apart, we’ve been able to collaborate on some photography shoots together too. 🙂
Here’s a bit about Melinda…
Tell us a bit about your family…
My husband and I have a bustling home in northwestern Iowa, where our five children ages 6-17 keep us young (and make us old!).
What are your favorite hobbies…
Photography, scrapbooking, and shopping are some of my favorite things to do!
What do you like most about digital scrapbooking?
Not dealing with the mess of supplies needed for paper scrapping. I love that I can take a break from a layout and pick up right where I left off without putting away/taking out a thing.
What type of camera do you use?
Nikon D300
Do you work outside of the home?
I am a junior high/high school special education teacher and wedding/portrait photographer.
What is your favorite type of digital scrapbooking product?
I love flourishes and grungy elements as they are great accents for portraiture.
What digital technique would you like to explore more in the coming year?
Trying to add more depth to my layouts with elements and shadows is something I’m always working on.
