Rachel<\/a> moved into her first apartment about a month ago and has been back to college for three weeks already. She spent the summer making art for her walls, finding retro furniture at yard sales, and repainting hand-me-down pieces given to her by family and friends.<\/p>\nngg_shortcode_1_placeholder\n Not only does she have a trendy, gorgeous apartment, but in total she spent less than $50 furnishing it. She even ordered free samples of paint from Valspar<\/a> and also used paint we already had. We like to live simply and she has taken this to heart. So love what she did with our old roll-top desk and $1 orange office chair find!<\/p>\n One project she designed for her walls using digital art is this pretty photo dreamcatcher. Using these instructions from Lune Vintage’s blog<\/a>, she wound lightweight yarn around a large embroidery hoop (rather than what Lune recommended) and then tied a vintage doily of mine in the center. Again, using our handy dandy Ikea clips<\/a> we hung a vintage photo and a 6×6 printed photo art blend (applied #30 from set 3<\/a> on soft light blend mode over my hollyhock image – resized from 12×12 to 6×6).
